All it costs the station is 60 seconds of airtime, but the contest winner gets exposure that on a major market radio station will give them a huge leg up in their job search. If you're out of work, this could be a much better contest to win than a couple hundred bucks or some concert tickets.
I hope that they can start posting interviews soon from contest winners who have actually been connected to a job.
