Looks Like a Good Day for Democracy in Canada

Stephen Harper and John Baird announced the new Federal Accountability Act today. It looks like it has the potential to actually protect taxpayer dollars from the corruption we saw in the last government. Most of the criticism from the opposition sounds pretty weak, and reduce the influence of big spending lobbyists. This is clearly a good first issue to attack.

I trust that the Conservative government will also work to push forward on some of the more controversial issues like the choice in childcare proposals.
